The Office of Communications and Marketing has opportunities for students who love Maroon & White as much as we do to gain experience and build their professional portfolios while working with our creative professional staff.

Student workers and interns with OCM work with our social media, photo and video, web and digital media, creative services, news, and event planning staff to create content and plan events that highlight just how awesome it is to be a Tiger. Whether you’re interested in work behind the scenes or right in front of the camera, writing features or designing graphics, building webpages or planning events, the work you do with OCM is sure to be full of opportunities to learn new skills, build your portfolio with real-world experience and have some fun in the process.

Summary of Duties

Duties to be performed are to support, organize, and assist in the department of marketing and communications.
 
Specific tasks include:
  • organizing photo and video assets
  • capturing and/or editing video; content creation
  • keeping inventory of promotional items
  • maintaining media coverage spreadsheet
  • assisting with paperwork for photo/video shoots
  • running errands on campus
Other duties are flexible based on the qualifications and interests of the student, which could include:
  • print design and/or production
  • web design and/or production
  • photography/videography
  • social media content creation
  • web writing
Minimum Qualifications / Required Skills:
  • Organized
  • High attention to detail
  • Helpful
  • Reliable
  • Open to learning and receiving feedback
  • Computer skills (especially MS Office)
Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced computer skills (especially Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • An understanding of photography and/or videography
  • Interest in marketing and communications
  • Approximate Hours Per Week:
  • 12 hours per week; hours are flexible depending on student availability
 
Days and Hours Needed:
Normal business hours between: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday (Depending on Availability)
Game Days

Preferred Start Date:
ASAP - as soon as possible
